  Invitations to the DC

  please correct me if i'm wrong on this.. one of the guys who works with me called me at work today (his day off) and said that a jw had just come to his door.

  the guy was by himself and said that he was new to the area and offered a tract of some sort and an invitation to the dc coming up in a couple of weeks in fort worth.

  i don't remember ever giving out invites to the dc.

  Yep. I have been out for almost 2 years and I would regularly give out DC invites. The brothers and some sisters would regularly give them out one person per door to cover more territory faster. I liked doing it by myself so I could ghost ring the door and just leave it there and run. Also, so no one would hear my lame 5 second presentation.

  WTS is ADVERTISING in local newspapers

  i just opened our local paper to discover a half page add on the front page for jehovahs witnesses... more to be read on page 4 and 5 where there are two half page articles.

  that must have cost them.. they are obviously trying to soothe the public into thinking that jws are harmless...let them into your homes.

  I celebrated my daughters birthday for the first time...

  it wasn't anything big, but its all she ever talks about in front of all my family!!!

  i mean, she talks about it almost every single frigging day.

  Happy birthday to your little one. Last December my son turned 4 and my daughter just turned 1 last Saturday. My JW MIL watches the kids when we’re working and I kinda encouraged him to tell grandma how much fun he had at the birthday party.

  Mrs. Dazed’s last meeting was almost 2 months ago and she is fully faded. Her mom doesn’t give her too hard a time. These happy memories are the ones they will remember when they’re older. Good luck with everything.

  Do You TRUST The Police, The Government, People In General?

  i think most people lie.

  some more than others.. we are taught, as children to trust the police, the authorities, our teachers, the clergy, our doctors, etc.. do you easily trust and believe in people?.

  i don't, but i do try to look at the good in people..

  smoked our first cigar today!.

  i know most of you probably see this as a "who cares" moment - but after 13 years of marriage - both of us fading over the last 5 months or so she finally out of nowhere said "i really have always wanted to smoke a cigar!".

  i have many times before but it was a first for her.

  Sam Whiskey - No I havent. I really dont think she can get over the smell. I might try it sometime and see if she wants to try. Does the flavored ones have a better smell? She hates the general smell of them.

  Awesome. Good for you guys. About 2 months ago I smoked my first cigar and posted about it here. Mrs. Dazed hasn’t wanted to yet but I keep trying. I don’t think she ever will. She gets repulsed by the smell. She says it makes her nose hairs curl. I smoke one every couple weeks. This weekend we are going camping and I am bringing a couple to enjoy.
